Timeless Finds in the Cotswold Countryside

Timeless Finds in the Cotswold Countryside

Last September, I had the most charming trip to the Cotswolds with my parents as a final trip before my wedding planning took off. We stayed in the picturesque village of Chipping Campden in an Airbnb cottage practically straight from The Holiday with Cameron Diaz. The days were a perfect blend of antiquing, indulging in dirty chai lattes, and simply soaking in the slower, more serene pace of life that seemed to surround the locals. Our mornings began with visits to the lovely antique bookshop right in Chipping Campden, where we uncovered some hidden literary gems. Afterward, we'd wander the cobbled streets, making our way to nearby villages like Broadway, Upper Slaughter, and Lower Slaughter. Each stop was like stepping into a postcard, with stone cottages, rolling hills, and the kind of peaceful atmosphere that made it easy to forget about the rush of everyday life.

One of the highlights of the trip was getting lost in the winding, crooked streets tucked away in misty corners of the villages. There’s always a cozy coffee shop hidden somewhere, offering the perfect escape from the cool air. Pro tip: be sure to bring a rain jacket—fall in the Cotswolds can get misty, and you’ll want to stay dry while exploring. The Cotswolds was the perfect blend of charm, history, and slow living, and it’s a memory I’ll always treasure.
